Liz: Blues 3

I have always wanted to be one of those people that gets up and goes to Starbucks with their laptops. I don't know why this appeals to me about this, but I have romanticized in my head that these people are writers, artists, passionate self employed entrepreneurs, cool moms (when the kids are in tow), wealthy former AOL employees who now train semi-professionally for triathlons (this might be true, in Reston), but whoever they really are, I want to be one of the ones in my head!

So Saturday morning, the roommate and I packed up our laptops and went to Starbucks on a mission to get some work done! The roommate ended up getting some photos processed, while I spent my time on gchat with my BFF in Belgium. Oh well, maintaining long distance friendships-1, productivity-0, I still call this a win for the day!

I know I am slowly slipping into the habit of wearing jeans and a tee more often than I would like, but I think it's okay a)on the weekends, b)when you have some cool details in the ensemble (like cinching! or holes?), c)when you have to work at a pool and change in the middle of getting dressed to be a Starbucks person and the afternoon. Oh! Did you see my new watch? I picked it up on Friday at Lulu with a gift card! I am really trying to remember the small accessories, especially on jeans-and-tee days! I have on my go-to favorite necklace, a simple pair of earrings, my new watch, and a ribbon in my hair. What are some of your accessory style staples?

  1. I tend to forget about accessories as well... And thought the same thing about that ^^ By the way, I like the back detail on your shirt. I think this absolutely counts as an accessory too! :-)

  7. I've always wanted to be one of the chic people at Starbucks working in between sips of one of their delicious drinks! I love your side-braid and your choice of accessories are the perfect compliment to your otherwise casual outfit!

I'm so jealous, you managed to pull off the braid with a bow without looking like a little kid (not an easy task).

So glad I stumbled upon your blog! Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
