On Sunday I went to Union 206 Studio as Jenny's assistant for the iT Girl promo photo shoot for the AprilMay Foundation. The iT Girl program is a new self esteem program geared towards girls who are 12-18. It's a new program that I am excited to become a part of. I got to play in the studio nearly all day with Jenny, acting as her 'Mr. Jay' (ANTM reference).
This is what I wore. Simple jeans and a tank outfit with my steal of the century, Anthropologie jacket! I found this little ditty on the sale rack for $9.95. That's right, $9.95!! I opted for sleeveless because I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't get hot jumping around and showing the girls what to do.
After we finished with the shoot, Jenny took a couple of pictures of me jumping around against the white background. I'll post them when she's done processing! Being in the studio made me realize that while I am taking and editing pictures on a daily basis, I am really letting my photography slide. I am treating my outfit shots as snapshots and not as photography. I am readjusting my mindset and have decided that my outfit shots will no longer just be pictures of what I am wearing, but self portraits! (maybe that seems like the same thing, but my mindset is different ;) )

Loving all your layers Liz! And 9.95 for an anthro jacket is INCREDIBLE!! Especially when it is as cute as this one :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were a photographer! How cool :)
That is a super-cute jacket and you can't beat $9.95 especially for Anthropologie! :) Love the outfit! You should consider becoming a professional stylist! You have a great eye for fashion and putting outfits together!
ReplyDeleteOf course the jacket is great, but the two belts... Stroke of genius! I will look forward to more balance of photography and fashion.
