now what...?

now what...?

The remix is over and I am kinda at a loss of what to do! My closet seems to have so many items in it, yet I woke up feeling like I had nothing to wear. One of the things that the remix taught me to do, was to plan my outfits. To look at what I had (and what was clean) and come up with a couple of combinations that would work ahead of time. I guess I should have realized that planning was the key to success to the 30 for 30 remix, and that planning would also help me be successful in the the entire closet remix. Because, really? Isn't that what we should be doing all the time? The entire closet remix? I also got a lot of feed back from people in my real life saying that they really liked that I showed what items went into each outfit. It has me toying with the idea of taking pictures of all the clothes that I own to make both visual plans and continue that as I get dressed on a daily basis. It's an idea, you know?

Speaking of getting dressed, (that was a Today Show quality segue, if I do say so myself) I was actually super excited to wear this shirt! It was one of my pre-remix purchases that I hadn't gotten to wear yet. Plus, I ADORE this jacket and certainly don't wear it enough! But look, I still chose shoes that were in my remix! :)

now what...?now what...?now what...?now what...?

When and Where:
  • Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011
  • to work and mostly (changed my skirt and shoes) to the winter sports banquet
What I'm Wearing:
  • jacket - LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
  • top - Banana Republic
  • skirt - Gap
  • tights - Target
  • boots - via TJ Maxx
  • necklace - Appalachian Spring, a gift from the Whaley Family

  1. I love this outfit! These tights are a great color! They don't seem too white...but just the right color!

  2. i loved what you wrote here. i think it's really interesting - when i limit myself on spending i realize how much i actually HAVE in my closet and can work with. it just takes time and thought.

    congrats on finishing beautifully!
