This is kinda a lost outfit. I wore it after work a little over 2 weeks ago to spend my give and get coupon at Gap. I overestimated the temperature and was FREEZING while walking around. Good think I bought some awesome jeans at Gap while I was there! It's funny that my guest photographer (and roommate, Liz D) decided to do these pictures in black and white, because this outfit was really quite colourful. The top is this wonderful yellow one, paired with the turquoise scarf that I borrowed (and returned!) from my mom.
Speaking of lost, I have to add the found part. I thought that I lost the Tiffany bracelet that my parents got me for Christmas in 2007 in the move from my apartment to my house nearly a year ago. Well, this weekend I was searching for the title to my car, because I sold it to my roommate, and what do you know - there they both were, the title to my car and my Tiffany bracelet (similar), both in the bottom of a Rubbermaid tote. (it also contained a journal from 2002, a power-puff girls tote bag, a framed picture from high school, a stethoscope, and some stationary - as well as some other random items- can you say pack rat?)
I am so happy to have my bracelet around my wrist again. It bothered me that I lost it, not so much because it was expensive, but because it was the most amazing Christmas surprise! My parents were in Germany and didn't come home for Christmas, but they sent me and my sister gifts to open on Christmas day. The bracelet was the cherry on top of a wonderful day. I was also given my favorite purse by my sister, et al, and got to spend some quality time drinking champagne with Will, my (chosen - not biological) little brother.
Have you ever lost (and found) something that was of value to you? Do you have jewelry or clothing that has a special memory associated with it?
