Since it rained nearly every day in September, I have to say that October is happy change, even if it can't decide on a temperature. When I wore these layers on the 4th, it was pretty cold all day. I was going to write about how happy I am that I can finally wear layers again. But now the high today is going to be 80... So it's back to shorts and a shirt.
Lucky for me, it was perfect running weather yesterday in DC for the 27th annual Army Ten Miler. It's the 5th time that I have done this race, and yesterday I set a PR by 2 minutes and 15 seconds! I even had to stop twice to tie my right shoe. It was a great run, followed by some delicious chips and salsa at Rio Grande in Arlington. I'm just kinda bummed because I didn't take any pictures. I even had a really cute running skirt on. Oh well, I'll take the PR (1:23:35) over cute pictures any day. Well, any race day.
