I love looking back at what I was wearing this time last year. This blog was still very young last March, and I think a part of me was trying to dress the way I thought a style blogger should dress. Since then I think I have relaxed on the pressure I put on my self to "look the part" and have just started dressing the way that fits my life - comfortable and cute, without much thought as to how I should dress. I have just been wearing what I like, making the clothes that I already own work for me. That part is actually HUGE!
I love shopping. I really, really do. But I can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe every season. I have to get creative with the clothes I already have. And when I do buy new things, I have to make sure that they fit in well. Now that certainly doesn't mean I don't follow trends! I mean, I think I wear brightly coloured pants and shorts as much as I wear blue or gray; it just means I have to get creative!
Anyway, it was fun looking back at March of 2011, especially since I just cleaned out my closet and a lot of these pieces made their way to the sell/swap/donate pile.
