a little trip to NOLA

Reid and I took a great long weekend trip down to New Orelans to run the Rock'n'Roll 1/2 marathon with Eric, Reid's brother, and his wife Adrienne, who live there. I knew that we would have an amazing time, but I had no idea how amazing it would be. The trip was beyond my greatest expectations. Eric and Adrienne were absolutely the best hosts!

As I sit here and try to remember everything we saw, did, ate, and drank, I am still overwhelmed with how positively amazing it was! Have just been diagnosed with celiac, I was really worried about what I could eat, but everywhere that we went easily accommodated me. It almost seemed easier than it is in Reston!

Instead of rattling off the list of where we went and what we did, I'm just going to share my photos and my two favorite standouts from the trip! My favorite drink from the trip - The Garden District from the Sazarac Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel and my favorite activity - getting PB and J sandwiches (I have a peanut butter apple) and hot chocolate at 10pm at the Pavilion.

When and Where:
  • February 21st-25th, 2013
  • New Orleans, LA
What I'm Wearing:
  • jacket - Saucony
  • scarf - Gap
  • sunnies - Ray Ban, Emma

My favorite drink, the garden district from the Sazarac bar. It was earl grey tea infused vodka, honey, lemon, and mint. Basically it was just like heaven in a glass! :)
