hearts and dots

hearts and dots 2

I like to say that my favorite color is polka dots. I know, I know, it sounds ridiculous. But, I would rather wear something that is polka dotted than any other solid color. It's silly, I know, but I like what I like.

This is still one of my go-to shirts and like the linked post, I am still struggling with that weight I notice that I have put on. It's slow going, but I know it will come off with time and work.

You may have read my post about getting diagnosed with celiac... well, that necessitated going gluten free (for real), but made it easier to take the paleo plunge! I started with GF for about a month, then did a "strict" 28 day paleo challenge (linked) only to learn that I don't really do well with strict.

It wasn't a total waste though! I did so much better than I would have if I had allowed what I cheated with from the start. Over the 28 days, I had some potato chips (but way, way, WAY less than I used to eat!), the occasional Udi's GF bagel, and some corn chips (also WAY less that I used to eat). And you know what I realized, when I "cheated" I didn't feel as well. It's also made GF a whole lot easier! So I plan to stick with it, and try to detox from sugar a little more, in hopes that I can finally shed the extra weight I feel I am carrying!
