fit style: running with the girls

I cannot keep saying how much I love running with the girls! It's so much fun having people to train with, even if we only get together for a run once a week. I feel like I have finally figured out how to balance training on my own, to reach my personal time goals, and running for the pure social enjoyment of it! I think I have even figured out a way to train for my third marathon AND run with the girls who aren't doing a marathon this fall! I am going to head out early and then meet them half way - just when I need the boost to get me through my long run. It's going to be perfect!


Crazy weather that it is, it was cold enough last Saturday morning to need both long sleeves and a light jacket, only to hit the high 80's later in the week. I can't wait for consistent temperatures, even if that means consistently hot.

On our run was my mom, Rene, and Jenny. We ran 3.9 miles at a 1:1, run:walk interval and an 11:47 pace, followed by a walk back with some coffee. That made our total mileage 5.5 miles! This weekend, we're tackling over 4, possibly 5 miles of running. I'm sure we're gonna rock it!
