coral shorts, coral lip sheer

I'm a sucker for coral lips. It's always been my go-to lip color. When applied lightly, it can look really natural, yet it can also be used for a big, bright impact! I used to pick my lipsticks by feel and color alone. I never really thought about the fact that what you put on your lips could not only go into your body transdermally, through your lip skin, but could also enter your body through your mouth! And even though women probably don't eat 7 pounds of lipstick in their lifetime (see the snopes on that here), it's still pretty safe to say that what goes on your lips, goes in your mouth.

Enter my Beautycounter coral lipsheer! I was going through my stash of cosmetics, using EWG's skin deep and the motto "if it's above a 4, it's out the door" to get rid of unneeded and possibly toxic products when I came across one of my favorite old lipsticks. Without going into too many details, the company doesn't disclose ingredients and it was nearly, if not already, 10 years old so it hit the trashcan. That's when I knew I couldn't wait to get my hands on a coral BC lip sheer!

To my surprise, the Madagascar vanilla in the Beautycounter lip sheer reminded me of my favorite lipstick and lipgloss of the past. The feel is absolute luxury! Best of all, I know it's 100% safe.
