(1) a day early...

a day early

I started my 30 for 30 remix a day earlier than most remixers, knowing full well that I will probably also end after most other remixers. Because I coach most of the day on Saturday, I just don't get dressed in anything other than workout clothes on the weekends. I have counted each weekend as one day, hoping to finish my remix on (or before) March 6th. That is the first meaning behind the title. It is also a play on "a day late, a dollar short." Only I am a day early and more like $150 short. I went a little overboard pre-shopping (which I will add to my "remix don't's list" for next time) and now my remix includes 5 new items and my second closet is full of great tops that I got on sale to wear after the remix!

So my I deem my first outfit a success. I kinda like the long sleeves under the 3/4 sleeves, and the skirt looks a lot better in person than in the photos. It's also fun to wear a skirt that I got at the end of the summer in a wintry way! I am already dreaming of more ways to wear this super comfortable skirt!

I am also participating in Makeup Free Monday! I read about it back in May and think that it is a great idea. Should I create a linky tool so that we can all join in with a makeup free day (it wouldn't have to be a Monday)?

And of course, I am rule breaking again! Mixing navy and black... apparently I have COMPLETE disregard for this rule in its entirety!

    1. Love the little pop of yellow. Great first outfit. I just started the challenge myself, so fun !

    2. Just found your blog from the flickr group! Looking forward to following your challenge. Plus I always like to have other Lizs in my reader.

    3. I am loving how the scarf pulls this look together for me. I am stealing this idea!
