Brunch has become my favorite meal of the week! I have been getting together with some of the coolest chicks (a rotating cast that usually includes my roommate, DC, and Christie) for brunch about once a month, and it has been fantastic. It reminds me of the How I Met Your Mother episode (well several episodes) where they mention brunch. Particularly, that you can't go to brunch alone. Good thing I have these lovely ladies to go with!
I feel like I cheated just a little when I put this outfit together, because after getting a comment from Linda about how she really liked outfit #1 in my remix, I tried to figure out another way to wear that skirt and shirt together. Then I saw the whale scarf just hanging in my closet and the rest of it just came together.
The one negative I will say, is that I have a horrible habit of buying things that are too big for me when they are on sale, then never altering them. This skirt needs to be taken in at least one if not two sizes. I mean, it works just fine when I wear my shirt un-tucked over the waist of the skirt, but tucked in, even with the belt, I was hitching up my skirt all day! Do you ever do this, buy clothes that are the wrong size because you got a deal on them?

I love the way this yellow pops! Makes me want spring to hurry up already.
ReplyDeleteI used to do that constantly, especially at Gap, because I am always between sizes there. Lately when I'm shopping I tell myself that the only thing worse than too small is too big. I think this is especially true for skirts, pants, and most jackets.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, great boots. I love how you brightened it all up with yellow and your smile.
ReplyDeleteGreat boots! I have really been wanting to start doing brunch. You have inspired me to make it happen!
ReplyDeleteThat navy scarf is the perfect addition. I love yellow + navy. Great look, girly.
