The title is a little misleading, I didn't get to spend the day at the beach... I actually went down to Virginia Beach for the High School State swim and dive meet. I didn't want to miss a day of my 30 for 30, so I got up early, took my outfit pictures, changed to coach, went swimming (both in the pool and the freezing ocean) and for a run, then changed back for dinner that night.
I had been dying to find the perfect way to wear this skirt, and I think I found it! Bare legs, that is what it has needed! I have tried red tights, blue tights, gray tights, but I think this is the best so far. The top is actually black and cream, but I think it looks just fine with how dark the navy is in this skirt. I really can't wait to style this skirt again as spring approaches!
When and Where:
- Friday, February 18th, 2011
- out to dinner after the State swim meet in Virginia Beach, Virginia
- top, skirt - Gap
- belt - Kohl's
- shoes - Target
- necklace - Appalachian Spring, a gift from the Whaley Family

Great combination of lines and checks.... very chic!
ReplyDeleteI love how you mixed those two patterns, kind of fearless! I am a tiny bit jealous of the Virginia weather, soak in the sun for us Canadian ok?
ReplyDeleteps: the lighting in these pics is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI like this outfit very much. I am experimenting with 2 different patterns for a while now, but I cant find 2 that work together. You did a great job!
And I love the setting :)
