I love being Irish on St. Patrick's Day! I know, everyone is Irish on St. Paddy's day, but I'm actually Irish - 50% for that matter! I started the day by running the inaugural Rock'n'Roll USA half marathon in DC. I did it in a personal record time of 1:53:11, even though I have been a complete slacker when it comes to training since I ran the Marathon in October. Then went over to a friend's house, Irish flag jello shots in hand, for some Irish food and day drinking. Followed up by going out in Old Town Alexandria. It was a perfect start to what I can only assume will be an amazing spring and summer!
The best part about the day was that Reid (who also was nice enough to take these pictures) came and met me at the finish line of my race! It was seriously the best!!
