It's totally normal to wear three outfits in one day, right? This is the second outfit I wore on Saturday, after my real estate walk with the girls. (It was dark by the time I left to go out, so no pictures of outfit number three) I wore it so that I could pop up to Reston Town Center and spend my soon expiring gap reward!
You know, I always get suckered by rewards from my various store credit cards. I just started using store credit cards again, now that I have figured out how credit works. No joke, when I started using credit cards (even though I wouldn't have admitted it back then) I subconsciously thought add my available credit to my bank balance and that's now much money I can spend. It's awful, right? It took nearly 10 years, but I have finally figured out that you only have the money you have, no matter how much available credit you also have.
I started by paying off my store cards as soon as I got home with the receipt. Then I tried the simple trick of moving every dollar I spent on a credit card from my checking account to my savings account until the bill came. Now I have a boring spreadsheet budget. It's a running budget instead of a monthly one, it works really well for me! (If you're interested in budgeting, check out Budgets are Sexy.
