After the blackberry bramble success, I started looking up other summer drinks that I wanted to try and I came across this one on Delish. Lucky for me, there was one can of ginger beer left over from previous cocktail experiments, and Reid was nice enough to pick up the Hoegaarden.
If possible, this drink was even better than I imagined it would be! It was lemony, refreshing, and so easy to drink! Reid and I paired it with playing on the slackline, though not for long - since the buggies LOVE me and I was being eaten alive!
I have a feeling this cocktail will be making an appearance again on labor day!

When:
- August 6th, 2012
- Ginger Shandies (from Delish)
Ingredients
- 3 bottle(s) (11.2-ounce) chilled Hoegaarden beer
- 1 bottle(s) (12-ounce) chilled ginger beer
- 1 thinly sliced lemon
- Mint sprigs, for garnish (which we forgot!)
Directions
In a large pitcher, combine Hoegaarden with ginger beer. Stir in most lemon slices and mint sprigs. Fill 6 rocks glasses with ice. Add remaining lemon slices to glasses and pour in shandy. Garnish each drink with a mint sprig and serve.
*We actually ended up adding a 4th bottle of Hoegaarden after drinking down about half of the pitcher and it was still just a yummy!
**We also used a larger pitcher to mix it all up. The crystal one was just for the pictures! :)
