Amanda, Hilary, Joanna, Kristin, Allison, me, and Penny
April 19th, 2014
The weekend in between Raleigh and Nike, I headed to Hains Point to run the 3.2 for 32 with these wonderful gals! Hilary, Joanna, and Allison all went to VT and Joanna was even there the year the shooting occurred. This race was organized by National Capital Virginia Tech Alumni Association, and the proceeds from the run went to Active Minds, a non-profit that does mental health advocacy (here's the facebook link).
This was a great run because it wasn't a race at all... just a fun run! I really liked that there were no numbers, no timing chips, and that it was dog friendly! We had a great time supporting a great cause!
